Job Responsibilities
Safety Technicians will be required to perform the following duties:
- Conduct safety inspections and audits
- Assist in implementing safety programs and procedures
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations
- Participate in safety training and education initiatives
- Maintain safety-related documentation and records
- Work evening shifts
- Pass a physical for the use of respiratory protection
- Able to climb and crawl within tight spaces
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Preferred OSHA 10 within the last 3 years
Starting as a Safety Technician can lead to various career paths in the safety field. Common progression routes include:
